Congratulations to Tony Cuccia on his winning fish of 46.2 lbs caught while fishing on the Tikki Tembo with brother Mike Cuccia and Ken Warchal. Other notable catches were made by George Lewis on the Cast Bronze 33.7 lbs and Eric Myers, Sportscaster 27.9 lbs.

Congratulations to the winners of this year's event. The tournament was very successful with 39 member boats participating. A good catch was made in spite of tropical storms and an abundance of sea grass. The winners are: Jack Meyer Memorial Trophy- Steve Matthews, Pepper 166.75 points White Marlin- Steve Matthews, Pepper 50 points Blue Marlin- Dave Matthews, Pepper 75 points Heaviest Tuna- Matt Myszka, Brown Eyed Girl 99.1 lbs. Most Points Tuna- Mike Myszka, Brown Eyed Girl 158.3 lbs. Dolphin- Steve Matthews, Pepper 29.5 lbs. Swordfish- Jack Godwin, Allison 180 lbs. Congratulations to Ken Warchal and crew members Greg Kolibas (a new MRMTC club member), Bruce Putnoky, Dan Shatrowsky and John Kuhles (who caught two of the largest bass) for their fine catch. Just as last year, there just weren't any large fish around but the tournament was a great success with it's new format and captain's meeting. |
